The Caribbean Tertiary Level Personnel Association

Before I found out about CTLPA I was wondering if there was any professional organization to which I could belong. I was feeling like a loner in the field.

When I went to my first CTLPA Symposium at Mona Conference Centre in 2007, I was “bitten by the bug” of camaraderie in Student Services across boundaries and institutions. I returned to my campus in Trinidad and Tobago and got very involved in the development and growth of the Trinidad and Tobago Chapter which was in gestation.

Involvement in CTLPA has assisted in my own personal growth and development as well as that of Student Services at my campus. CTLPA has made a vast difference to my job and brought me so many new friends in different countries.
